Since throughout my career, I had already worked as a creative and strategist, providing web, social media, content, and marketing services while optimizing for user accessibility, which in turn, helps with Search Engine Optimization (SEO). Therefore, I decided to pursue a Social Media for Business Certificate at a community college. Although it hasn’t been my primary occupation, I incorporate such considerations in my work whenever I am in charge of websites and content. I also am open to longer term opportunities in social media strategist and content creation.
Years ago, I worked as a Web Content Specialist, a Content Writer, Web Developer, being the first lead on social media marketing and creative strategies, for a commercial restaurant equipment company, with a showroom store front, and new e-commerce websites. I helped transform from months of 0 sales, using a 20+ year old 3rd party Marketing company– to high value commercial equipment sales, using my strategies that attracted customers to product pages. Instead, I focused on educating the team on White Hat SEO, building a brand, (as opposed to Black Hat that violates Google’s rules, and can risk penalties, lowered ranks or ban from search results). Search engines continuously improve intelligent algorithms to detect tactics.
I set up a blog and CMS, customized existing WordPress plugin, and researched products, to write informative articles that buyers could relate to, optimized for SEO, and expanded customer targets. I created some basic graphics and editing for visual elements, like promo block elements.

Writing Samples
Below are some samples I was able to pull up later, which my manager was Editor at the time. Please excuse the 404s, missing images, and autogenerated links (3rd party screenshot tool). The original blog and content is no longer Live, but they still appear to still uses some of my techniques or strategies.

I also proposed visual UI/UX, and structural redesigns of their e-commerce sites, through mockups, and applied topology (re-categorization of menu items to be more user friendly, and improve customer experience). I also wrote scripts that integrated with Magento API, to automated tedious tasks for product input, which freed the Data Enterer’s time and lead them to a promotion to Manager/Director, overlooking inventory and shipment department

Web Content
In the past, I’ve also created websites for clients or organizations and content aka copy, when they were unsure. I created pages and information, so their customers can see their products, services, or purpose, gathered through interviews, questionnaires, or brochures.
Blogging and Creative
In the past, I had a few blogs and a creative website, where users manually submitted art, poetry, and writings, that I posted up as well as my own.
